How this started
There's no dedicated app just for internships. Think about that for a second. Every job platform out there lumps internships in with senior roles, professional positions, and jobs that want 5+ years of experience. They weren't built for us. They were built for people already deep in their careers.
I built Internship Grabber because I was applying to so many internships I literally lost count. I'm not exaggerating - at some point I couldn't even remember which companies I'd applied to, what I sent them, or when I was supposed to follow up. That should never be the case.
You shouldn't have to build a spreadsheet just to keep track of where you applied. You shouldn't have to spend hours figuring out what to put on your resume for each role. You shouldn't have to manually check ten different sites every day hoping something new pops up. That's all busy work that takes away from what actually matters.
So here's what this app actually does
Internship Grabber handles the dirty work. It keeps you up to date on new postings, sends you an email when something matches what you're looking for, and tracks every application so you don't have to think about it. You can see what you've applied to, what stage you're at, and what needs attention - all in one place.
Being a student is already a full-time job. Between exams, orgs, projects, and just trying to have a life - the last thing anyone needs is to stress about whether they remembered to follow up on an application from three weeks ago. This app takes that off your plate.
And honestly, one of the worst parts of the whole process for me was the silence. You apply, and then… nothing. Just waiting. After doing some research I found out that reaching back out to employers actually makes a difference - it shows engagement and keeps you on their radar. I would've never known that, and even if I did, I didn't have the time to craft those follow-ups for every application. This app tells you when to reach back out and gives you exactly what to say.
Built by a student, for students
I built this for us. Not for recruiters, not for HR departments - for students who are trying to land internships without pulling their hair out. I want to watch people succeed with this tool and land the positions they actually want.
Life gets hectic fast. You've got exams to worry about, orgs to be a part of, projects to finish. So why not make the internship search part easier? Apply more, worry less about tracking everything through a spreadsheet, and actually enjoy being a student while you're at it.
This app still has a lot to improve on - I'm the first to say that. But it's getting better all the time, and that's because of feedback from people who actually use it.
What's actually different about this
It's only internships
No senior roles cluttering your results. No “entry level: requires 5 years experience” nonsense. We surface internships and early-career positions, and we highlight programs that are known to accept freshmen and sophomores.
Your resume actually matters here
Upload it once and we score every result against your actual skills. Class projects, coursework, technical skills - that stuff gets weighted higher than years of experience you don't have yet.
No more spreadsheets
Track where you applied, when, and what happened. Get reminded when it's time to follow up. See your response rate. Pro users get AI-generated follow-up emails ready to copy and send.
Curated programs for underclassmen
We maintain a curated list of 70+ internship programs that are known to accept freshmen and sophomores - Microsoft Explore, and more. These are the programs that most job boards completely miss.
We're students — don't hesitate to tell us what doesn't work
This app gets better because of real feedback from real students. If something's broken, confusing, or just annoying - we want to hear about it. We're always open to learning how to make this better.
